  • ½ cup yogurt

  • ½ cup warm water (as needed)

Step 2: Shape the Naans

  1. Divide the dough into 6–8 balls.
  2. Roll each ball into oval or round shape.
  3. Add optional toppings like garlic, coriander, or nigella seeds.

Step 3: Cook the Naan

Stovetop Method:

  1. Heat a tawa on medium-high heat.
  2. Place the naan—cook until bubbles form.
  3. Flip and cook the other side until golden.

Tandoor/Oven Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 250°C / 480°F.
  2. Bake naans for 3–4 minutes until puffed.

Step 4: Add Butter

Brush the hot naan liberally with melted butter.
Serve warm with curries or grilled dishes.
