  • ½ tsp salt
  • 6 tbsp cold butter, cubed
  • ¾ cup buttermilk

  5. Slowly add chicken broth and milk, stirring constantly until thick.
  6. Add chicken, peas, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  7. Simmer 3–4 minutes until creamy.
  8. Transfer the filling to a baking dish.

2. Make the biscuits (if homemade)

  1. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, and salt.
  2. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly.
  3. Add buttermilk and mix gently.
  4. Turn dough onto a floured surface and cut into 8–10 biscuits.

3. Assemble

  • Place the uncooked biscuits on top of the filling.

4. Bake

  • Bake at 400°F (200°C) for 20–25 minutes, or until biscuits are golden and filling is bubbly.
