- 1 small potato, peeled and grated

- ⅔ cup cold butter, cut into cubes
- 4–5 tablespoons cold water

In a large skillet, cook ground pork and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat. -
Add seasonings:
Stir in garlic, salt, pepper, cinnamon, cloves, and allspice. Add water or broth and simmer for 10 minutes. -
Add potato:
Mix in the grated potato and cook until it softens and absorbs liquid (about 5–7 minutes). Let the filling cool. -
Make the pastry:
In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in the cold butter until crumbly. Add cold water gradually until dough forms. Divide in half. -
Assemble the pie:
Roll out one half and line a 9-inch pie dish. Fill with cooled meat mixture. Top with remaining dough and seal edges. Cut small slits for steam. -
Bake:
Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 35–40 minutes, until golden brown. -
Serve:
Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm with ketchup, cranberry sauce, or a side salad.
