- Fresh coriander and mint leaves (optional)
Instructions
Step 1: Marinate Chicken
- In a bowl, mix chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
- Cover and marinate for at least 30 minutes (or overnight for best flavor).
Step 2: Fry Onions and Spices
- In a deep pot, heat oil or ghee. Add whole spices (bay leaf, cloves, cardamom, cinnamon).
- Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.
Step 3: Cook Chicken
- Add marinated chicken and cook on medium heat for 10–15 minutes until the chicken is 70% cooked and oil starts to separate.
